Give Members Shopify Store Credit

You can now give members store credits which are built into the Shopify platform! No need for Rise or CreditsYard to do this anymore

It's finally here! Shopify is beginning to launch their built in store credits functionality, and Simplee Memberships is already compatible with this feature.

IMPORTANT: Store Credits only works with the latest version of customer accounts on Shopify. This means users no longer need a password to login, but get a one-time password via email. To check this, open Shopify Settings > Customer accounts, and switch to customer accounts.

How Does it Work?

In Simplee Memberships, when creating or editing a plan, you can now choose to give members a fixed amount of store credit on their first purchase, or on every successful membership order.

How do Customers Spend Credits?

At checkout, if customers are logged into their accounts, they will automatically get an option to use their store credits on their purchase. Credits are treated like cash towards a payment.

Setting up Store Credit Emails

We recommend turning on an email whenever store credit has been created by Simplee Memberships. To do this, open Simplee > Settings > Emails, and turn on the email to notify members when they receive store credit.

We recommend spending some time personalizing this email.
